Hazel Alexander

About me

Hazel Alexander began her musical training at the age of 4 years old beginning with Classical Violin. Growing up Hazel was heavily influenced and encouraged by several generations of her musically gifted family and was constantly surrounded by music.

Hazel studied violin and piano at the Royal Irish Academy of Music where she has completed all her RIAM and ABRSM music exams until receiving her diploma (ARIAM) in 2000.

Hazel studied Music (BAMUS) in National University of Ireland Maynooth and graduated in 2002. She returned to the Royal Irish Academy of Music and completed her diploma in Community and Group music teaching in 2013.

Alongside teaching Hazel is also an experienced and accomplished wedding violinist. With an extensive repertoire suitable for both church and civil ceremonies she would be more than happy to make suggestions as well as discussing your own musical requests and tailoring them to make your special day your own.
