About me

Gerry Nulty has diplomas for teaching both piano and piano accordion. He worked for many years as a musician for hire working with various Irish artists such as Dicky Rock, Linda Martin, Brendan Grace to name but a few and has performed in such venues as The Concert Halls in Dublin, Manchester, Glasgow and many other notable venues world wide.

As a musician he has won several competitions, particularly for accordion playing and for many years worked as a freelance accordionist on the cabaret scene in Dublin. He had the pleasure of performing for people from all walks of life from David Beckham’s wedding to performing at the Hotel de Paris for the late Prince Rainier.

In 2005 Gerry returned to his first love, that of being a teacher and marrying his music acumen with the knowledge gained from his studies in business and media B.B.A and the experience of being a director of two previously successful businesses, he set about setting up what is now the rapidly expanding playpiano music practice. He is delighted to be heading up an excellent team of good humoured, knowledgeable tutors with plenty of can do attitude.

He is a descendant of the Kenny family from Thomas Street in Dublin who are well reputed and documented for their musical talent. Gerry’s motto in life would be to ” follow your heart and find something you absolutely love doing and then try to make a living from that ” If you succeed in this as Gerry says ” you will never work a day in your life!”
